|Drag Selection Box|: to select objects, drag a box around them. The |Shift| key extends the current selection. Use the |Option| key to include objects that |touch| the box.

|Empty Rotation|: cannot rotate object.
|Cancel Rotation|: to continue rotation, move the pointer back into the document.
|Rotate|: drag the pointer around the object's center to rotate all selected objects about their centers. You can group objects to rotate around the same point. The |Shift| key constrains to 45° angles.
|Abort Text Creation|: move the pointer into the document area to create text.
|Caption Text|: release the button to create the start of a caption. For caption text, use the Return key to start a new line.
|Paragraph Text|: drag out the the required width for paragraph text. Use the |Command| key to release |grid snap|.
|Select Text|: click to select a new position for entering text; or drag out a selection of text. Use the |Shift| key to extend the selection. The arrow keys and standard edit menu commands are available.
